Feng Office Versions 3.11.6 & 3.11.7
New reporting capabilities, more accurate billing, and improved expense management
Versions 3.11.6 and 3.11.7 focus on improving how teams manage project finances and maintain control over billing cycles. These updates introduce specialized reporting tools, refinements to automated invoicing, and smarter expense handling to provide clearer visibility into pending revenue and project profitability.
Introducing the “Unbilled work aging” report
Version 3.11.6 adds the Unbilled work aging report, designed to help teams track work that has been completed but not yet billed. This includes time entries, finished tasks, and billable expenses. The report shows how long these items have remained unbilled, helping to identify which projects or clients are contributing to revenue delays.
By using grouping options like project manager, client, or project phase, teams can spot bottlenecks in the billing process. This visibility allows for prioritized invoicing and better cash flow management.
New report: Work in progress (WIP) summary by project
The new “Work in progress (WIP) summary by project” report is a condensed version of previous WIP data, built to deliver financial insights faster. It allows users to review contracted values, estimated revenue, total invoiced amounts, and amounts ready for invoicing in a single view. This comparison between planned revenue and actual billing helps project managers maintain stronger control over project profitability and forecasting.
Deeper insight with the “Project financials” report
The Project Financials report has been updated to offer more flexibility in analyzing financial performance across the project portfolio.
- Expanded grouping: Users can now group data by up to three dimensions, including project type, project manager, client, phase, rate schedules, or country.
- Unbilled projects filter: A new filter allows teams to focus specifically on projects with outstanding revenue, ensuring billing opportunities are addressed promptly.
Improved layout and presentation in the invoicing module
The invoicing module now includes a new address display format option. This provides more flexibility in how billing addresses are presented on documents, ensuring invoices meet specific business or client requirements with a professional layout.
Smarter templates for expenses
Expense templates now support more accurate tracking. When creating project quotes, users can define the expense type for each budgeted item. As the project progresses, actual expenses automatically inherit these types. This reduces manual adjustments and ensures consistency in financial data from the quote stage through to execution.
